Which is a good digital photo frame?

posted under , by CaT
I'm interested in getting a digital photo frame as a christmas present. I haven't had the chance to go check them out in the stores. I only managed to browse through the net and look at the pictures and specs. The most valuable were comments and reviews by some owners.

Anyone out there who can provide some opinions? I haven't a clue which is a better one.

Nokia 6500 is a beauty!

Today I had the chance to play around with the sleek and stylish Nokia 6500 phone. It's even slimmer than my Nokia 6300! It's all good with an internal phone memory of 1Gb. Bad thing is that if you need more than 1Gb of space for you stuff, you won't be able to slot in a memory card as it doesn't have any memory slot.

The other disadvantage in my point of view is the keypad. It's a tad too small and it doesn't make SMS-ing any easier.

But if 1Gb is more than enough for you to store stuff and your fingers are small and nimb enough to manouvre the keypad, I think this phone is a real fashion icon to have!

What is your baby drinking?

posted under by CaT
A new mum is always most resourceful, curious and wanting the best for her baby. A friend who just became a mum saw an article about drinking bottles made from plastic and forwarded a copy to me.

The gist of the article says that plastics used to make bottles aren't as healthy as glass bottles. After reading the article, curiosity got the better of me and I went to look for glass bottles. I found only one brand to offer them - Pigeon.

They don't come cheap at RM37.90 a bottle. Even more costly if you're like me who keep dropping the bottles when washing and sterilising them!

Bottle warmer

I thought we would need a bottle warmer to quickly heat up milk whenever baby gets hungry. This should be more effective and quicker than to just putting a bottle in a hot tub of water to thaw it. But I couldn't be more wrong. It seems to be working a lot slower! I guess the heater to boil the water isn't as strong as a proper boiler/kettle. There goes my good dollars down the drain :(

Feeding systems

Did you know there is a lot of technology that goes into a baby's feeding bottle? I was totally ignorant. To me, a bottle is just a bottle, no big deal. So we bought whatever bottles we came across, looking at just the nice little designs as a criteria of purchase.

Then we learned that the teats play an important role in helping to reduce colic in a baby. A lot of premium brands offer teats with special air system that releases the air so that baby doesn't suck it back in.

We started buying these special teats from NUK. The shape is made to be as close to a mother's nipple as possible, and it supposedly has some benefits in shaping the gums for future tooth growth too.

I also bought some Avent bottles to replace our Pureen ones. These bottles came with Avent's teats which also come with some air system technology. However, baby was already accustomed to NUK's teats and didn't like the slower milk flow of the Avent teats. So I had to purchase more NUK teats in replacement of the Avent ones.
I'm now feeding with more confidence knowing that baby's getting what's best for him.

2008 Accent

I don't profess to know much about cars. In fact, I think all I know is where to put which foot on which pedal ;)

But hey, when I see a nice car, I know it. The all new 2008 Accent is pretty nice one!

Phone craze

I was pleasantly surprised with a gift - a Samsung phone! I'm a true fan of Samsung and I was delighted with this beauty. However, I did feel that the phone is a little big. I've been using some smaller size clam-shell type of Samsung and not quite used to this new one.

But the features were wonderful. I finally had a chance to experience video-calling through 3G. The screen is big too and the graphics and themes are nicer.

However, I didn't quite like the user-friendliness level of this phone. My old phone was better but I no longer had it. So I made a decision to make a quick switch and traded in the phone for another.

So what did I end up getting? This.

It's a Nokia 6300. It's sleek and stylish and I love it! User-friendliness gotta rank lots better than Samsung and the colours on the screen looks better too. I definitely have no regrets switching to this beauty.

Thumbs up for Clarins

Recently I went from one skincare counter to another shopping for something that would suit me. I’m not the sensitive-skin type but I just wanted to see what’s out there. I’ve got quite dry complexion so I was looking specifically for some products with hydration qualities.

Finally I settled for Clarins. I bought just the basic to try them out and after about 2 weeks of using it, I was convinced to purchase their eye-care items too. I must say this is the first time I’m using eye-care. I hope it helps. It’s still too soon to notice any difference yet. Besides I’m quite ignorant and not very observant about stuff. But the difference is that I feel good and it does wonders for the self esteem.

Isn't that what it's all about anyway?
